Here at Ant Data, we believe in the power and positive impact of data. Our mission is to practice open innovation by bringing our data and digitalisation experience into supporting system innovation. Association with the Unversity of Manchester has previously enabled us the visibility and opportunity to work with international leading experts to deliver solutions to suppliers in the power industry. We believe it is critical to accelerate energy system digitalisation given the commitment by the sector to achieve net zero by 2045.

Our Expertise

About Us

We are proud our track record contributing to data and innovation projects, from ideas and prototyping to leading end-to-end execution. Our colleagues leverage the learning and experience from internationally leading institutions such as Imperial College London and the University of Manchester. As guided by the Energy System Strategy and Action Plan, we are delighted to offer our expertise in electricity substation digitalisation based on IEC61859 wide area monitoring, and in artificial intelligence based cyber security to contribute to future energy systems.

1. We have several years experience working on Data Science and Machine Learning projects at every part of the data stack, from data cleaning and data engineering to data analytics and machine learning. This experience has enabled us to deliver systems for financial hedging and FX management, as well as machine learning projects such as real-time credit scoring, fraud detection models, churn (usage) models, deep learning prototyping, agent-based reinforcement learning, and recommender systems.

2. Our colleagues at Manchester University have extensive experience in supporting the UK energy and power sector on data and digitlisation projects. Their involvement in the network innovation area has enabled us to assist with delivering a number of successful digitalisation projects including VSATT, FITNESS, and CREST.

    We contribute to innovation projects to accelerate system digitalisation and derive its benefits across security, monitoring, and scalability, particularly within the energy sector.

Data & Innovation

By collaborating with scentific research institutions and industry data practitioners, our data science and machine learning engineers are able to utilise their experience and the outcomes of cutting edge research to deliver tailored data solutions. Advances in the modern data stack enrich data engineering capabilities with the additiona of a 'transformation layer' prior to consumption for analyses. Here, cohort analysis can be used to deel-dive into client segments, while natural language processing and sentiment analysis can be used to gauge customer behaviour. Just some applications of the machine learning models we can build include automated decisioning, anomaly detection, document classification, and item recommendations.
